Sit on top and own the world

Hello (waving)
New stamp release day over at The East Wind etsy store.
This is Diva Lisa 'sit on top and own the world'
Grab her here >> click me
Here is my make of her. I had to make a snazzy background as per usual with my inktense pencils and I drew in a bit of a cliff for her to sit on so she could look out into the ???whatever you think it is.
I deliberately left off a sentiment so people could interpret the scene for what it is.
Here is a closer look to see the colours in the clouds. This photo picks up the soft yellows.

I have used kaisercraft cardstock throughout and used a new doily die from them and also an old spellbinders one. I have used a metal corner embellishment and stuck them down with hot glue in each corner of the card base. The twine is from Whimsy farm twine and that is holding a little metal embellishment that says love.

I hope you like it

Morning stretch

Another release day over at The East Wind Etsy store today.
From today, right now, just by clicking via this link>>> morning stretch' you can purchase this digital stamp called Lucy Loo 'morning stretch'
Here are the sneak peeks I shared on my instagram account @ericabruton
You can just see some of the ultrafine glitter I used around the edge of Lucy's wings, More whimsical stuff :)

Below you can see how I have painted and coloured in the background of whimsical trees with my favourite mediums pencil, derwent inktense and polychromos. I have also just lightly painted in lucy loo.

This image below shows me bringing in the details and heavier shading with polychromos.
I was disappointed with the paper. I used Canson Montval watercolour paper and it was too rough for the pencil detail but i persevered.

Below you can see the finished piece. It kept at it and it turned out pretty well. I know not to use that paper again though if I am going to use pencil. Although it was good for the water coloured areas.
I feel i went a little avatar going with the blues but I like the effect.

DT inspiration for 613 Avenue Create challenge #129

Evening all (waving)
I have been very busy with custom orders and cleaning up after kids these last few day. I so can't wait for this month to be done and dusted really.

I have used a digital stamp from Lacey Sunshine who are one of the sponsors for the challenge. This is 'Reggie lets BBQ'.
You can head on over to there shop by following the link >> here

I made a step card to mount the image on. I like making fancy cards for guys as they give an extra wow factor as I find it hard to add embellishments for guys. They aren't really into bows and flowers, lol.
I used polychromos pencils to colour the image and the sentiment is computer generated.
I went with the twist of the challenge , the sights, sounds and tastes of summer.
Sight- seeing a BBQ and a sunny summer sky
Sound- sizzle of a BBQ
Tastes- well BBQ's always make tasty food such as the steak Reggie is about to cook.
Now why don't you have a bit of fun. head on over to Lacey Sunshines shop and pick out a great image that reminds you of summer and colour it up to fit some of the senses in the table for the challenge.
Have fun!

I have coloured Betty with Polychromos pencils and added a computer generated sentiment 'You're such a sweety'.
I love how fun this digi is with all the hair and candy, ice creams and feathers. you can really go to town colouring this one.
The border edge punch is from EK success and the doily die is from spellbinders. I added some super fine glitter to the doily to give an extra glitzy look.

613 Avenue Create challenge #127 design inspiration

Today there is a new challenge happening over at 613 Avenue Create challenge blog. It is an anything goes challenge with an optional twist, make something for your BFF
ONe of the sponsors for the challenge is Stamplorations and so I was lucky enough to use these two stamps from their shop 'Framed butterflies' and 'Each day holds a surprise' sentiment
You can purchase these stamps via this link here . Stamplorations have very unique stamps and may be just what you are looking for to create clean and simple cards or to use them to build up a special design you have in mind.

I have used Inktense pencils to paint the butterflies and used a bit of a sepia colour to shadow and make as if the butterflies are fluttering above the numbered page.
Have some fun with some new or old stamps and join in on the challenge via the link here

Betty Cockus 'call me maybe'

New release day for The East Wind with their newest character.
This is a sneak peek i shared on facebook.
and this is the sneak peek I shared on Instagram

And here she is, Betty Cockus 'call me maybe'
Betty is a very stylish drag queen as you can see and you can purchase her from The East Wind etsy shop here.
I have coloured betty with polychromos and had a lot of fun doing so. I haven't ever coloured up a drag queen before so i went googling and had a look at their makeup and hair colours and wanted to go with red. Looking at other pictures especially hair colours help me immensely while colouring. i can see how the colour changes with the shading. I used an orange to shade the lighter part of her hair showing the lightsource. So if i have one tip for you today that googling and looking at real life images helps to determine where colours go.The sentiment is computer generated.
