Aurora 'Holly Olive'

Its new release day over on the etsy shop of The East Wind. The new release digital lineart is Aurora 'Holly Olive'
Here is my Instagram sneak peek

You can see me using my very frayed brush watercolouring with my inktense pencils
Here is another peek....

And here is my card all done

Isn't she a gorgeous image for Christmas??
I used Derwent Inktense and Faber Castell Polychromos to colour her.
I mounted her on a cut frame made from Kaisercraft Tomato cardstock and then on Pebble, Tomato and .....a green cardstock(sorry can't remember the name of it)
I added some red liquid pearls on the frame to give the look of berries and that's it all done :)
So head on over to The East Wind etsy store and snap her up and colour her in,
There are plenty of challenges going on over at The East Wind challenge blog as well as the facebook group.

I will be entering this card in the following challenges

DT inspiration for Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends C#16 - Anything goes

 Hello again (waving)
Our fabulous sponsors for this challenge are....

Sherri Baldy 'Besties' digi stamps (click on pic for store link)with a prize of
3 images chosen from what the DT's used which are pictured below.

The other sponsor is Michele R Designs (click on pic for store link)
Offering a prize of 10 Euro gift voucher to spend on her gorgeous digital papers and elements.

Now onto my Design inspiration :)
I chose image number 3 to colour in with Polychromos pencils from Sherri Baldy.
Michele R Designs was kind enough for the DT's to use her Shabby Vintage Rose digital papers and elements collection. I used Shabby Vintage Rose 7 for my base patterned paper and Shabby Vintage Rose 1, for the patterned paper framed around the stamp.
The bunting is also part of the Shabby Rose Collection and I sized it to fit my card front , printed it out, fussy cut it out then stuck it on the front as you can see.
The piece of patterned paper on an angle with the rose in the corner is also a digital paper from the collection called Shabby Vintage Rose 9.
The twine I have tied in cute bows at the end of the bunting is from Angie over at Whimsy Farm Twine.

So that was the card front now the inside.
I have made a book fold card this time around. It folds reasonably flat but looks great when it is opened up.
Here is a template that I found on Pinterest that you may find easy enough to follow otherwise there are dozens of templates if you search in google images.
So I used the same patterned papers that I used on the front. I added another element from the Shabby Vintage Rose collection, a little postcard. I resized it to make sure it would fit nicely, printed it, cut it out and stuck it onto some cardstock and roughed up the edges a bit.

A view from the top so you can see all the snazzy folds :)

Well I hope I have inspired you to get out some pencils and your printer to design a wonderful card all of your own.

And here is my reveal. Isn't she totally teenagaer cool!

I have a relative who plays softball for Australia under 19 girls and so I thought I would colour her in Australian sport colours of green and gold. I used my Polychromos pencils to colour her. The papers I used are all from Kaisercraft and the sentiment stamp is from Whimsy Stamps. The twine is from Whimsy Farm twine.

Sundae

Hi everyone (waving)
Today I coloured a stamp just for fun and this time around it was a Kenny K digital stamp called Sundae. You can grab the digi here >> Sundae

Its a cute image and I hadn't made a lovey dovey card in a while so this is what i did :)
I coloured the image with my polychromos and mounted it onto some kaisercraft cardstock (denim) I used patterned papers from the kaisercraft paper pad 'save the date'. It was filled with typical party themed papers which included ice-creams and bunting. The ice-cream paper I used on the spellbinders heart die.
I saw recently a lady using paper straws to embellish her cards and I figured I had some in my pantry that had been there for like...ever. So thought this was the best opportunity to get them out and see how they looked. I rekon they look pretty fab in the corner there.
I always like to pretty up the inside of the card to match the front so I have used some scraps of the paper I used on the front and also added some cute yellow bunting to finish it off.
So that's that. A new card to add to my collection.
