BBQ Santa

Christmas is coming so I thought I better get some digital stamps made ready to use on some cards this year. It is so hard to find Christmas stamps to suit Aussie Christmas. It is usually hot, people celebrate at the beach and my family always have a BBQ with our family and friends so I figured yep a BBQ Santa image would be perfect. So here he is 'BBQ Santa' which you can purchase from my etsy store now
Got to have an esky to keep the drinks cool and blue is the usually colour of these

Santa has managed to get a little sunburnt while down under

A lovely green santa sack full of gifts

Not Christmas without our fellow companion, our dog. I have gone for a Kelpie breed here.

Here is the finished card. i mounted it on kaisercraft cardstock and the pattern paper is also from kaisercraft 'christmas basecoat' with lovely native foliage. I used my own initiative and cut out some gum leaf shapes and made teeny tiny gum blossoms. Stuck a couple of star buttons on and tada.
'Christmas is in the air when it is in our hearts'

Thanks for dropping by. Before you go I would like to share a new page over on Facebook which showcases Aussie artists that sell line art and stamps for everyone to colour. We would all love it if you joined the group and shared your creations with us at  Aussie digital artists and stamps

Die Laughing release

Just in time for you to colour up for Halloween creations is my new digital stamp called 'Die Laughing'. My father in law hates clowns so i figured what better way to scare him this season, mwahahaha.
You can find the digi in my EricraftShop etsy store . It will be on sale for the remainder of this month as part of the facebook Markers Papers Digi group Summerween event. Lots and lots of exciting stuff going on over there at the moment and plenty of stamp companies to play along with so pop by and have a look, even better join in :)

Below is my coloured up version of my new drawing. I love love love how it turned out. Even the rainbow wig on the other poor clown.
I used copics mainly for the colouring and added a bit extra detail with polychromos pencil and a bit of copic white ink. The phrase is computer generated. The moon i added with copics to go with the phrase.
I also mounted the image with foam tape just to lift it off for a bit extra detail :)

So there you have it, my new digi 'Die Laughing'.

Gypsy

A new release has come from Ericraft Stamps and it is called 'Gypsy'.
I really enjoyed drawing and colouring this image and it is available now from my etsy store via the Ericraft Stamp Shop tab up the top :)

So I decided to dust off the copics and have another try with them.

I wanted a woodland feel to the image so a background was needed. I used the copics with nice decent brushstrokes to flick the colour onto the paper.
I like to give a good basecoat with copics and then i like to add finer details with pencil as you can see in the next photo.

I really love how it turned out.  The sentiment is computer generated and I think fits the image perfectly 'All those that wander are not lost'. I added a few sequins just to add a bit of sparkle :)
Perhaps the horse needs longer hair just like the gypsy vanner horses? Anyways i like it all the same.

Don't forget I am super new to selling digital stamps and I do have a facebook group if you would like to join and follow along with new releases etc. www.facebook.com/groups/Ericraft

Rachel Fishing

Today I am sharing with you my latest digital stamp called "Rachel Fishing'.
I drew this stamp from a photograph of my little girl fishing from our boat while we were on holidays. you can see in the following photos the image coming to life :)

tada! I used polychromos to colour the image and a pencil stump to smooth the colouring to get it to look...well...smooth and blend extra nicely together.
This is going on a shelf in my craft room I think :)
You can purchase this digital stamp over at my EricraftShop etsy page via the tab at the top of my page or via this>> link . It comes in a zip file containing a 300dpi jpeg file as well as a no lines version and a png file and a No lines png version.
I have a couple of other digis available in my shop too. I would love it if you could share your creations with them on my Ericraft Stamps facebook group

Roses

Hello all. It's been quite a while since I have posted but today is the day I will show you my new adventure into the crafty world. I am making my mark with designing my very own digi stamps.
Here is my latest digital stamp called 'Roses'.
I drew her up while I was in a melbourne motel room. I had to stay behind and look after my little girl while the boys went to watch Nitro Circus and there was nothing on TV so lucky I bought my sketch book along.

so this pic shows you what i used to ink up the image. i use copic multiliners :)

Decided on a light blonde look and figured i would give my copics a go. YR31 and E30 to be exact :)

onto the roses and painting them red :p

I wanted a bright green on the leaves to match the paper I have selected for the finished card.  I have used G34, YG25 and YG23

Give her some skin with my copics and a bit of a dark red lip

finished off the details with polychromos. I loooove my pencils. Still need practice with my copics to really be more confident with them.

And here she is on the card. I have used kaisercraft cardstock and paper for the card. A martha stewart border punch for that red triangular border. The frame was cut with  my cameo and the butterflies have a little dark purple kindyglitz in the centre of them :)
Now my digital stamps are ready to be purchased over on my etsy page. The link to my shop is a tab at the top of this page. I would love to see you pop by my Ericraft Stamps page also where you can even join as a member and keep up to date with all my new digis and makes. Even share your creations too.

Inspiration for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

Today is a new challenge over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends, Challenge #34, and as always it is anything goes.
We have the opportunity to work with our fab sponsor Bugaboo who is kindly donating 7 digis for a prize

I chose to colour up Gus Birthday - Rocking Chair. I have to say Gus and Stella are my favourite digi's from Bugaboo. They are hilariously funny and fun to add to a card.

I coloured gus with polychromos pencils and added a little white copic ink for highlights. I have mounted the image onto a butterfly folded card made from kaisercraft papers and cardstock.

This is my last Design Team make for Lil patch of Crafty Friends. I am going back to school you could say studying a certificate 4 in Age care so that will be taking up all my time for quite a while.
I hope you like my card and hope you join in the fun over at Lil Patch for the latest anything goes challenge.

Cheerio,
Erica

Flora

Good morning (waving)
I just had a thought that I hadn't coloured up an Aurora Wings image in aaaages so i figured no time like the present :)
I checked out their latest blog challenge and the theme they have going is 'Wish'
I have used the 'Flora' digital stamp and flipped it horizontally. I like how it looks on a card when it is facing the opening.
I coloured the base with copics and went over with more detail with polychromos.
The sentiment is computer generated.

I think it turned out pretty good although not too sure about the deep tone of her skin.

Lucy Loo 'Bobbed'

It is new release day over at The East Wind for this awesome image from Unky called Lucy loo 'Bobbed'
Isn't she fabulous?

I have coloured her firstly with the limited copics I have and then I added some extra details with polychromos pencils. I so love the bright pink hair against the black as a contrast with a hint of mint, don't you?
The lacey cut out I did on my cameo and I heat embossed the edge with gold powder. The cardstock and paper used is from Kaisercraft 'All that glitters' collection.

I hope you love my card and that it has given you some inspiration. Don't forget to check out the current challenges going on over at The East Wind challenge blog and the facebook fan group.

DT inspiration for 'DRAWING"

It is new release day over at The East Wind etsy store of this fabulous digital stamp drawn by Unky. It is called Lucy Loo 'Drawing'.
As soon as I saw it I put my hand up to colour it ;)

Here is the sneak peek I shared on my Instagram account

The front of my finished card.

My card open.

I used ballpoint pens to colour the bright colours and then used polychromos to shade her sepia.
I coloured the greyish background with inktense pencils and then washed over it with water.
I drew in a graffiti type style sentiment 'Colour Your World' to finish off the card.
I hope I have inspired you with my card. I had a lot of fun making it :)
Remember to drop by The East Wind challenge blog and the facebook group for the latest colouring challenges.
